Meet Matt, the proud owner and founder of MGF.
With a passion for health and fitness that dates back to his early days, Matt entered the fitness industry right after completing school in 2010. His background in highly competitive rugby league exposed him to the dynamics of team training, inspiring him to create a similar environment of community, inclusivity, and fearlessness within the realm of fitness. And thus, MG Fit was born in 2015.
As a trainer, Matt finds immense joy in the physical transformations he witnesses in people's lives and the mental and emotional growth they experience through improved health. At MGF, it's about more than just exercise and nutrition; it's about cultivating a family-like atmosphere where everyone feels welcomed and supported.
Whether you're new to the gym scene and uncertain where to start or if nervousness has held you back from pursuing your fitness goals, MGF is the perfect place. Here, you'll find a community that embraces individuals of all backgrounds and abilities, providing a safe and encouraging space to thrive. Sarah's journey in fitness began with a passion for sports at a young age. From netball to athletics, she embraced competition and thrived on staying active.
As she ventured into weightlifting in her twenties, Sarah discovered a new level of empowerment and fell in love with the strength and confidence it brought her.
She was certified as a CrossFit trainer and learned from top athletes, so she honed her skills and knowledge in the fitness industry.
Finding her way to MGF eight months after giving birth to her second child, Sarah instantly felt connected to the training style, the positive atmosphere, and the supportive community.
Driven by her transformation, Sarah transitioned from member to coach, fuelling her passion to inspire and motivate others on their fitness journeys.
As an accountability coach, she guides individuals towards their goals, celebrating their achievements and providing unwavering support.
With her infectious enthusiasm and genuine care, Sarah inspires others to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle, empowering them to unlock their full potential.
Archie is a fully qualified coach, holding a bachelor's degree in sports coaching (strength and conditioning) from the Australian College of Physical Education. He has extensive experience in weight training coaching across all levels, from elite athletes to the general population. His expertise in strength and conditioning makes him a versatile coach, capable of guiding clients through various training modalities.
A laid-back and easy-going person, Archie is passionate about health and fitness and loves watching people achieve their goals. Health and fitness have always been integral to his life, having played various sports growing up. His weight training journey began with football training programs and has since evolved into a hybrid style that incorporates both weight training and conditioning, reflecting his commitment to a well-rounded approach to fitness.
Kaylee is a certified sports nutritionist and personal trainer with a deep passion for strength training, physique aesthetics, and the vital role of nutrition in overall wellness. With extensive experience working with a diverse clientele, she focuses on helping individuals improve their relationship with themselves, their nutrition, and their fitness journey.
Known for her approachable and supportive demeanor, Kaylee is dedicated to helping others become the best version of themselves. She strives to empower her clients by providing the guidance and encouragement needed to achieve their goals and build a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.
Beth grew up in a highly active household and has been involved in sports throughout her life. With a strong passion for fitness and a desire to continuously learn new skills, she embarked on her fitness journey. Although she had previously tried other gyms, it wasn't until Beth discovered MGF in 2020 that her true love for training ignited.
At MGF, Beth not only learned the correct techniques for various movements but also pushed her limits alongside the supportive members of the MGF Community. Embracing the challenges thrown her way, she was motivated to constantly improve. After training at MGF for nearly two years, Beth decided to pursue her certifications and became a qualified trainer. Transitioning from a member to a coach at MGF has only deepened Beth's love for the community.
Beth finds great joy in motivating and inspiring members to give their best and reach their goals. Her high energy, attention to detail, and approachable personality are instrumental in pushing our community to achieve their goals. When Beth isn't in the gym, you can find her passionately following AFL (yes, she's not an NRL girl), enjoying a drink with friends at the bar, or furthering her education by pursuing a master's degree in secondary teaching at university.
Sam has been immersed in the world of sport and fitness throughout her life and is driven by her enthusiasm for physical activity and learning. As a child, she participated in various team sports and athletics programs, eager to compete and improve her skills. At 17, Sam began attending group fitness classes at her local gym and discovered her passion for training.
In January 2022, Sam became a member of the MGF family and immediately felt a sense of belonging. The community was warm and encouraging, making her feel right at home. Sam was inspired to merge her two passions of education and fitness as a full-time primary school teacher. Thus, she decided to pursue certificates 3 and 4 in fitness education.
Having faced her own fitness challenges due to injuries, Sam deeply understands the injury struggles that others may face. She is passionate about helping individuals work through their own barriers and reach their fitness goals. Sam is enthusiastic and enjoys sharing a laugh with clients while providing an inclusive and positive environment.
